B is for Bernice

A new toy

My first ever sewing machine. A Bernina Bernette 82e. Dr. Pig keeps referring to it as a "Bernice".

Because I really need a new hobby.

I hemmed Bean's Girl Scout sweatpants. They had been previously held up by that iron-on tape stuff and the force of my will. Now, maybe they'll actually stay up!

I going to take some beginning sewing classes so I can learn to read a pattern and how to really sew something. My hope is that I can learn enough to make a few simple sundresses for Bean for this summer.
